Job Summary:

Our partner school is seeking a secondary business studies teacher/exams officer to start immediately. The school is a UK curriculum school located within Abu Dhabi UAE.

Prepare and deliver lessons on topics related to business.
Have an in-depth knowledge of the subject to be able to answer questions from students and teach content contained in school standards.
Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
Prepare materials such as syllabic, homework assignments, and handouts.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
Plan, evaluate, and revise lessons content, course materials and methods of instruction.
Make accurate and productive use of assessment including using data to monitor progress, set targets and plan subsequent lessons.
Give students regular feedback, both orally and, through accurate and diagnostic marking in line with the School’s
marking policy encouraging students to respond to the feedback.
Record and make use of assumptive and formative assessments to secure progress.
Undertaking pastoral duties.
Participate in meetings at school, which relate to the curriculum for the school or the administration or organisation of the school, including pastoral arrangements.
Attend parents’ meetings and be appropriately prepared to discuss student achievement and well-being.
Participate in arrangements for further training and professional development as a teacher.

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Education or the subject intended to teach specialized in a specific cycle/stage.
PGCE certificate
At least 4 years of teaching experience in the subject intended to teach in the English National Curriculum
Holding an ADEK licence is beneficial
Possess valid references, police checks
Candidates with pastoral experience and expertise are encouraged to apply
