Principal Accountability:
A) FINANCIAL/MONETARY: (REVENUE/COST):
- Achieve agent recruitment targets
- Agree, set, communicate, manage, report and achieve unit sales targets
- Maintain acceptable level of contract persistence
- Maintain acceptable level of agent retention
- Manage unit operating costs reducing expense where necessary
- Identify & report financial risks
B) CUSTOMER/CLIENT: (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL):
- Ensure effective customer service by all agents including personal involvement in meeting clients to improve persistence and repeat sales
- Manage orphan contracts in line with company orphan contract management guidelines
- Establish effective regular communication channels with customers to strengthen the relationship
C) SUPPLIERS/ VENDORS: (REGULATORS/OTHERS):
- Comply with legal, regulatory, financial and operational requirements in all areas of responsibility
- Collaborate with Agency Manager & support staff to facilitate business progress
D) PEOPLE/EMPLOYEE: (UNIT WIDE):
- Conduct new agent training & induction courses Conduct training & activity programs for agents to increase sales
- Ensure agents have a personal development plan with regular review
- Manage performance, development & disciplinary process for agents
- Provide coaching, counseling and training support to agents
- Develop & implement agent retention initiatives
- Oversee company provided training & competency development programs for agents
E) INTERNAL PROCESSES/PRACTICES: PRODUCTIVITY/QUALITY/COMPLIANCE/REPORTING):
- Facilitate actions to resolve agent performance issues and ensure minimum activity & productivity ratios are achieved
- Foster effective 4 directional open communication channels
- Develop, implement and coordinate sales campaigns, incentives & recognition initiatives at unit level
- Ensure effectiveness of unit support, administration & record keeping in all areas of responsibility
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in all areas of responsibility
