Job description
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proven ability to work with students in a non-academic setting
- Successful coaching experience in the sport
- Recognize the importance of making a commitment to work with the rest of the coaching staff for this sport and the Athletic Director
- Demonstrate the ability to work with students, parents, community members, fellow coaches, and game officials on a positive and professional basis
- Proven positive role model regarding dress, appropriate use of language, appropriate physical contact, and appropriate mental/psychological approach to working with students, parents, community members, and game officials
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or the Building Principal
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Duties
- Supervise all practice sessions
- Provide instruction in proper techniques and sport rules
- Attend all required State and League meetings (as necessary)
- Appropriately dispense and care for uniforms and equipment as well as accepting the responsibility for accounting for all such items through an end of season inventory
- Handle other additional responsibilities associated with the sport as directed by the Athletic Director and/or School Principal
